Ember House wasn’t born from a business plan. It was born from burnout.
Meet the founders.
We’re Emma and Kyle — and we built Ember House because we both knew the wellness world was missing something. Emma is a chiropractor, breathwork coach, and fascial stretch therapist. Kyle is a massage therapist, firefighter, and future chiropractor. Between the two of us, we’ve worked with enough people — and pushed through enough of our own burnout — to know that something was missing. We wanted to create a place that did more than decrease your pain and restore your mobility — though we do that too.
A place that leaned deeply into nervous system regulation and real recovery. Somewhere that felt like the calm of a spa but delivered clinical excellence.
Not just somewhere you go when something is wrong, but somewhere you come back to after a brutal week, a bad night’s sleep, a season of giving too much. A place to find some stillness. To reconnect to yourself. To support your longevity in more ways than one. That’s what we’re passionate about brining to our community.
After years of working in the wellness space — seeing what helped people, what didn’t, and what was missing entirely — we knew there had to be a better way. Not just for clients, but for the people doing the work too. We wanted to build something that gave back in both directions: to the community walking through our doors, and to the team showing up every day to serve them.
So we did.
We do things differently here.
and the name? It means something to us.
We’ve both been deeply burnt out before — not just exhausted, but genuinely empty. Like the inner flame had gone out entirely. But what we’ve both learned, in our own ways and our own time, you just need one ember to reignite the flame. Tend to that ember, stoke the flame - that’s how to really recover the flame.
That’s what this place is. The place you return to when you’re burnt out, when you’re depleted and dysregulated. It’s a place to fully recover — and not just physically, but completely.
Ember House also holds a particular and intentional place in its heart for Ontario’s firefighters. Kyle is one of them — and that means this is personal. Beyond the emotional and physical toll the job carries, research continues to show that sauna therapy post-fire exposure plays a meaningful role in helping the body eliminate the toxins and carcinogens absorbed on the job.
We believe recovery for first responders isn’t optional — it’s essential.
